Merry makin was designed and built to the exact and detailed specifications of an experienced and demanding American yachtsman who used her for long summer cruises up North on the Pacific coast of the United States. What he wanted was an efficient and streamlined planing hull that would be undisturbed by difficult sea conditions.

Built in the renowned yard of Grand Harbour Rudy in Taiwan she was outfitted with twin 1000HP Mercedes M.T.U. Diesel engines and once launched she exceeded everyone's expectations. She rides smoothly, swiftly and surely and over the years she has consistently performed with absolute reliability and the elegant maneuverability of a thoroughbred.

Her current home port, the harbour of Benoa is within easy driving distance from most major hotels on the island and only fifteen minutes from the airport. From her central berth in South Bali 'Merry makin' is ready to go to sea on short notice and can reach Nusa Lembongan or Nusa Penida in the Lombok Strait in less than an hour. Our own private island on the East Coast of Lombok is only ninety minutes away.

Merry makin can do what no other charter yacht on Bali is capable of: reach any destination in the vicinity of Bali swiftly, irrespective of tide and currents. We can get you to Tulamben, the number one scuba-diving spot on the North coast of Bali faster than you can go by car. It would be entirely possible to take that elite group of top salesmen out for a round of golf on the North Lombok coast and be back on Bali within one day. It would be entirely possible to take a crew for a photo shoot in G-land, the Mecca of surf on the southwestern tip of Java and be back on Bali within one day. At fifteen knots of cruising speed we leave all others behind us and our range is unrivaled.

The only means of transportation that will beat us on time is a helicopter but you are unlikely to find one that has a galley set up for fine dining. Merry makin does have those facilities and more important than anything else: she has a crew with the experience to match the pedigree of the vessel. Her French captain has logged countless miles on the oceans of the world and her Indonesian executive chef and chief steward started their careers in some of the most prestigious hotels in this country. There are two marine engineers who make sure that all systems run like clockwork and are maintained in peak condition.

In every respect a cruise on the Merry makin is a five star experience. For half or full day charters 'Merry makin' can take up to 20 passengers. For overnight passages or cruises that would cover several days or longer periods there are three staterooms on board so the vessel comfortably carries six passengers on extended overnight voyages.
